Honeysuckle Gold Flame A wonderfully scented and brightly coloured honeysuckle, Lonicera x heckrottii Gold Flame is a fast-growing, semi-evergreen climber with a shrubby, non-twining habit which will need to be tied into a support. The oval leaves are blue-green, and may persist through a mild winter. From June to August, the plant is covered with orange and yellow, tubular, typical honeysuckle flowers, flushed pinky-red. These are richly scented, particularly in the evening, so it would be ideal planted near a doorway, or where people sit out on summer evenings. Red berries follow the flowers in autumn. Very good for pollinators, including moths. Honeysuckle Gold Flame holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
