Corsican Hellebore Silver Lace An excellent form of the Corsican hellebore, Helleborus argutifolius Silver Lace is a medium-sized, clump-forming, evergreen perennial with leaves divided into three toothed holly-like leaflets, silvery blue-green with greener veins. From late winter to mid-spring, beautiful apple-green cup-shaped flowers appear, lovely with snowdrops or other early bulbs and an invaluable early nectar source for pollinators. Unlike other hellebores, Corsican hellebore Silver Lace is happy in full sun where the soil is moisture-retentive, but also likes a position under coniferous trees. Prune out the flowered stems after the flowers have gone over.
