Tulip linifolia - Flax-leaved Tulip A species tulip with long-lasting, open bowl-shaped, rich red flowers with a purple-black base, often with yellow marginal markings. Narrow strap-shaped foliage has fine red margins. Tulip linifolia is excellent in a rockery or grown in a container. Once flowers have been cut allow foliage to remain in place in the garden, this concentrates the plant’s energy into the bulb for strong, healthy growth the following Spring.
