Forsythia Weekend A tall, fast-growing, deciduous shrub, Forsythia x intermedia Weekend has a spreading habit and so is suitable for medium-sized gardens.  The foliage is mid- to deep green. In March and April the shrub bears beautiful, rich yellow, 4-petalled flowers. Good covering a wall, as a hedge, or in a shrub border. Prune out a couple of main stems at the base after flowering, thin out shoots at the centre, and cut back flowering shoots to a strong bud. Forsythia Weekend holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
