Country: Spain Region: Toro Varietal: Tempranillo Vintage: 2012 Colour: Red Style: Dry Producer: Bodega Burdigala Campo Alegre Description:The Toro appellation is spread over 2 provinces : the provinces of Zamora andValladolid. The landscape is composed of a plateau and a small valley toward theriver. The vines are located at an altitude of between 620 and 750 metres. 100% Tinta de Toro.A variant of the famous Tempranillo, a Spanish red grape variety par excellence from the heart of La Rioja and Ribera del Duero. It produces very fine and highly aromatic wines. It is the main variety in the TORO appellation. Tasting Note :  The 2012 Campo Alegre Toro begins with a pleasant aroma of black cherry, spice, plum, pepper and licorice. Tasting reveals this to be a big, dry, tasty, full-bodied Toro, just the way we like them. With lots of black cherry, ripe blackberry, spice, licorice, cola and touches of vanilla and chocolate this is a quality wine. It's dry and tannic on the long finish, just like it should be for a wine like this. It should also age quite nicely for the next few years so don't be afraid to throw a few bottles into your wine rack. Food matches :  Game / Meat / Spice
