It is fresh and powerful on the nose with aromas of citrus. Drink this crémant as a chilled aperitif, as it comes or with a liqueur such as crème de cassis We have chosen this bottle for the Luxury Christmas day selection because of it's slightly off dry nature, which will work wonderfully for Christmas Day. Why? We imported this wine especially this year, because great Californian wines are hard to get, unless of course you spend a lot of money. This wine offers elegance, crisp fruits and a gleaming minerality that will allow it play a fine support role for Christmas dinner this year. It is available by the bottle on the site should you need more than one and we can promise you wont be disappointed here. It is a star stuffed chardonnay. Agricola La Portera Garnacha La Tardana Utiel Requiena, Spain 1 x 75clThe Starter Red The French have a very beautiful expression for wines like this, they call it “vin de soif”, which essentially means a wine that is measured by the purity, honesty and, especially, by the joy and refreshment it provides. “La Tardana” is just that kind of wine, it showcases the fruit, freshness and balance of a genuine single varietal Bobal. The grapes are exclusively sourced from a single parcel called Tardana  planted in 1958, growing on alluvial and clay soils. With a fresh and fruit-forward nose, the wine displays aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, blossom, and a hint of earthy minerality. On the palate it is juicy, focused and well balanced, with a crunchy acidity and some light drying tannins. There is lovely weight of fruit with harmonious vanilla and wood balancing out the palate. It is a Gold medal winning wine with good reason and it is one we import from the Ducourt family in Bordeaux. It is delicious and most likely to please and impress everyone at the table this Christmas!  Domaine La Font Notre Dame Lirac Cru RhoneRhone Valley, France1 x 75clThe Cheeseboard WineLirac is quite a special Cru. In general, the wines are softer than its peers. Here, it’s all about the finesse and the fruit of Grenache. The terroir in this part of the Rhone is classic limestone which gives great depth to the wine. This a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, all hand-harvested, crushed and traditionally macerated. Let this breathe for hours and it will gladly accompany your starters and your Christmas dinner itself.
