Hydrangea Jip Blue
A compact mophead hydrangea with glorious deep blue colour, Hydrangea macrophylla Jip Blue is a deciduous shrub with an upright, bushy, rounded habit. The large, ovate, slightly toothed leaves are deep green, turning reddish purple in autumn. In the second half of summer and into autumn, deep blue, mophead flowers are borne in big rounded clusters. Hydrangea Jip Blue can also be grown in a container, particularly good in identical pots on a patio. Flowers may scorch in full sun, so the plant is best sited where it gets afternoon shade.
