Thymus serpyllum
This Thyme is known as Wild or Creeping Thyme, it forms a ground hugging mat of very small green leaves covered in small flowers in late Spring or early Summer, normally pink but can vary on individual plants. Leaves can be used for flavouring, in the same way as the culinary herb, Thymus vulgaris. A pretty little plant for the alpine garden, rockery or herb patch. Attractive to bees.
