Potentilla fruticosa Abbotswood A particularly long-flowering cultivar, Potentilla fruticosa Abbotswood is a small, deciduous shrub with a dense, bushy habit. The small, deep green leaves are divided into five leaflets. In late spring, pretty white flowers, 4cm across and with a boss of golden stamens, appear; they are like those of single roses, to which potentillas are related, and keep coming for months. Potentillas do best in the ground, rather than containers, and in drier, less fertile soils. A really easy, trouble free plant, Potentilla Abbotswood holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
