Avens Totally Tangerine A sterile geum or avens, which means it flowers for a very long period, Geum Totally Tangerine PBR is a clump-forming, vigorous, evergreen, rhizomatous perennial, with a very upright habit and a rosette of basal foliage above which tall flowering stems arise. The attractive, scalloped, evergreen leaves are deep green. From May to September, tall, wiry stems rise above the clump, each carrying several soft apricot-orange, single flowers that are attractive to pollinators. The seed heads are equally attractive. Avens Totally Tangerine is a healthy, adaptable plant for the middle of the border, where the flowers will float above, say, grasses as bright dots of colour. Keep dead-heading to the base of the plant to prolong flowering, remove dead basal leaves in autumn, and divide every three years. Protected by Plant Breeders Rights.
