Achillea millefolium Moonshine - Yarrow
A sterile, non-seeding yarrow, which has stood the test of time, Achillea Moonshine is a small, clump-forming, herbaceous perennial for the front or middle of a border or for a gravel garden. The feathery leaves are silvery-grey, setting off the soft yellow flowers beautifully. The tiny florets are borne in broad, flat heads, a lovely contrast to grasses or the spires or looser clusters of other perennials. Dead-head to promote more flowers, and divide in spring every couple of years to prevent flopping. Tolerant of dry soils and coastal sites, yarrow Moonshine holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit, and is good for pollinators.
