Apple Cavan Sugarcane An Irish heritage variety discovered in Co. Cavan in the 1990s, Apple Cavan Sugarcane is an early to mid-season dessert apple. The fruit is large, round and uneven, with a golden-yellow skin and a red flush; the flesh is crisp, juicy with a well-liked flavour, winning a Irish Seedsavers taste test. Vigorous tree, reliable and heavy cropper. Good scab resistance. Partial tip-bearer, so not suitable for trained forms. This Irish Heritage Apple tree was originally saved and propagated by Irish Seed Savers in Scarriff, County Clare.
