Redcurrant Jonkeer van Tets
An early redcurrant variety, ‘Jonkeer van Tets’ is a vigorous, upright bush giving very heavy crops of large, juicy berries; one of the best redcurrants for flavour. The berries are highly ornamental, a brilliant, translucent scarlet, but you will have to net them against birds. Flowers early in the year, so don’t plant in a frost pocket. Good disease resistance. Redcurrant ‘Jonkeer van Tets’ is particularly suitable for training as a cordon. Given the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
