Yellow Stemmed Dogwood
A beautiful dogwood, Cornus sericea Flaviramea forms a thicket of yellow-green barked stems. Vigorous erect branches, dark green foliage and small, creamy-white flowers followed by clusters of white berries in the Winter. Excellent red-orange, Autumn foliage colour is a special feature of this dogwood. Hard pruning results in attractive yellow stems during winter. A beautiful plant on its own or combined with red-stemmed dogwoods. Equally works well as informal hedging.Site: Tolerates inland exposureSoil: Well draining, moist soils, tolerant of very wet soilsPosition: Full sun, partial shade, tolerant of shadeSeason of Interest: Red-orange Autumn foliage, white berries and yellow stems in WinterHardiness: Fully hardyHeight: 5.5ft (1.8m) Spread: 8ft (2.5m)
