We will email you when they are ready. Please sign your pot as instructed by the teacher. Please note - sometimes, not often, pieces don’t survive firing in the kiln and they get damaged - this is beyond any potter’s control. Should this happen to your pot we will supply you with a blank pot which you may glaze at the workshop. What should I wear/bring?  Your clothes and shoes will get wet and dirty from clay splashes so please wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting messy. Please bring your own apron and a hand towel.  Who is this course for? This pottery workshop will suit beginners looking for an introduction to working with clay, or those who have worked with clay before and would like a simple refresher or time on the wheel. Is there an age limit for the Workshop? This course is generally for people aged 18 and above. A teenager over 15 may attend if they are accompanied by an adult. Please let us know in advance.  What's the day like? You will be welcomed by your teacher and brought to your classroom. Each participant will have access to their own pottery wheel/workstation and tools for the duration of the workshop. We supply all the materials you need, but please bring your own apron and towel so as not to get your clothes wet with clay. The workshop ends with a class and equipment tidy up - another important part of the potter's training!  Accommodation: If you are visiting Schull and looking for accommodation, Schull Harbour Hotel offer 10% off their quoted price to anyone doing an Arran Street East course in Schull.
