Surface Design - Lino cutting About the Course Carve out a morning with Arran Street East and learn Lino Cutting with artist Mandy Geoghegan. In this 3-hour course your teacher will guide you through all of the steps to creating a one of a kind stamp. Learn stencilling and carving techniques and how to make vibrant prints of your work.  You can sketch your own stamp design in class or choose from a selection of stencils hand-drawn by Mandy.  All class supplies are provided by Arran Street East including cards to stamp on.  Take home your stamp for more creations at home.  We don’t get too messy in class but we do advise not wearing your best clothes and to bring along your own apron.  If you would like to give this course as a gift please look at our Gift Cards options here. LOCATION: 43/44 Arran Street East Studio, Dublin 7, D07 W226. Google maps TIME: 10am - 1pm FAQs Who is this course for? This surface design workshop will suit beginners looking for an introduction to surface design and decoration.  Is there an age limit for the Workshop? This course is generally for people aged 18 and above. A teenager over 15 may attend if they are accompanied by an adult. Please let us know in advance.  What are my transport/parking options getting to the workshop? The nearest Luas Red Line stop is 'Four Courts', (a five minute walk away) and many bus routes service Stop 1479 on Ormond Quay, at the junction with Capel Street. You'll also find a Dublin Bikes stand at each of these locations. Due to our City Centre location, on-street parking immediately outside the building is limited, but there is pay and display in the general area, and there are large car parks nearby at Jervis Shopping Centre and beside the Fruit and Vegetable Markets. We supply all the materials you need. Each workshop ends with a class and equipment tidy up - another important part of the artist's training!  What should I wear/bring?
