Have you always fancied trying your hand at pottery? Wouldn't this be a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon? The gift of the class would also make a super Christmas present for someone . This three hour class is taught by Mairead Latimer of Mudlarks Pottery, during which you will be shown how to make a thumb pot. You will then combine two thumb pots to create an apple shaped ceramic dish with lid.  There is also a shaped groove for a spoon to lie in making this a perfect jam or apple sauce dish. You will be colour these with slip - a coloured clay - and Mairead will take them back to her studio where they will be fired twice in the Potter's kiln.  Once completed they will be returned to The Crafty Rock for collection. Price includes materials, ceramic firings and refreshments.
