Tea Tree Kiwi
A dwarf version of the Australian and New Zealand tea tree, Leptospermum scoparium (Nanum Group) Kiwi is a low, evergreen shrub with a very dense habit. The small, silky, green leaves are bronze-tinted and aromatic. Single, deep pink flowers, 10mm wide, appear profusely in May and June. Ideal for a rockery, between paving stones or in a container – advisable in colder areas. Prune by taking out dead, diseased, damaged and crossing shoots. Tea tree Kiwi holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
