Clematis montana Marjorie A very pretty montana clematis with double, narrow petals, Clematis montana Marjorie is a very large, vigorous, deciduous climber with a bushy habit, which will need support. The typical, tripartite clematis leaves have a bronze tint. Double, peach-pink and cream flowers with narrow petals are prolifically produced from May to June. Clematis montana Marjorie should be planted quite deeply (2-3 ½ ”/5-8cm) to encourage shoots from the base, and the base of the plant should be covered by other plants or a layer of stones or gravel. Needs minimal pruning, but if it gets out of hand it can simply be sheared down.
