Rose Worcestershire
A hardy, repeating rose, Rosa Worcestershire is quite a tall, for a ground-cover rose, deciduous, shrub rose with a bushy, spreading habit. The ovate foliage is deep green, a lovely foil for the flowers. Slightly fragrant, single to semi-double, mid-yellow flowers, 2 ½ ”/6cm across, with golden stamens, are borne from midsummer to autumn. Ideal for planting on a bank, but as these drain fast, mulch with compost, manure or leaf-mould in early spring, and for best flowering, give organic feed at the same time. Also good in a cottage-style planting. Dead-head to prolong flowering, and prune in March. Rose Worcestershire holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
