Tulipa Miranda
A tall peony-flowered tulip with brilliant, fully double, scarlet-red flowers, Tulipa Miranda flowers from late April to May. The broad leaves are light green, setting off the flowers beautifully, and the flowers have a yellow centre and are slightly fragrant. Tulip Miranda should be planted in November, to avoid the fungal disease tulip fire, but can be planted as late as Christmas. Good for bedding, it can also be planted in pots, and makes a good cut flower. A real head-turner.
