Columbine Kristall
A beautiful columbine for the late spring garden in borders and cottage garden plantings, Aquilegia Kristall is a vigorous, clump-forming, herbaceous perennial with pretty, divided, blue-green foliage. Beautiful, pure white flowers with long spurs and golden stamens appear in clusters from May to June on upright stems, up to 20”/50cm tall; they are good as cut flowers. Columbine Kristall is good for bees, and is resistant to rabbits, deer and honey-fungus, but can be prone to mildew. Cut back flowering stems after flowering, and the leaves in autumn, or before if mildew strikes. Be aware that if other columbines are grown, they will hybridise, and seedlings will not come true.
