Dwarf Verbena Lollipop
A compact form of the justly popular species, Verbena bonariensis Lollipop PBR is a long-flowering, airy, herbaceous perennial suitable for the smallest garden. It has unobtrusive, grey-green leaves on branching, airy stems, which bear lilac-purple flowers from June to September; these flowers sway over the planting like dots of colour, surrounded by butterflies. Good with achilleas, cranesbills and low grasses, dwarf verbena Lollipop does not seed about as prolifically as the species, but it is a little less hardy, so give it a protective mulch over winter.
