Rosa Claire Austin - David Austin Climbing Rose
One of the David Austin English roses, Rosa Claire Austin is a reliable, repeat-flowering, deciduous, climbing musk-rose hybrid with an upright habit and gently arching stems, perfect for training up a pillar or pergola, or on a wall between windows. The large, divided leaves are exceptionally healthy and a gentle, matte mid-green, setting off the blooms beautifully. The cupped, globular, very double, creamy-white flowers, emerge from palest lemon-yellow buds, and are deliciously and strongly scented of myrrh and vanilla; they repeat in flushes for several months. Ideal as a climber for the smaller garden, climbing rose Claire Austin can also be grown as a shrub rose with a little support. Strong-growing, very disease-resistant, and good for colder areas.
