Mexican Orange Blossom Sundance A golden-leaved cultivar of the species, Choisya ternata Sundance is a medium-sized, slow-growing, evergreen shrub with a neat, bushy, rounded habit. The aromatic leaves are divided into three broad leaflets, and scented of orange-blossom; young leaves are a gorgeous lime-green before they change to yellow in full sun. In shade, the leaves retain the lovely lime-green colour, making a bright patch in the border or shady corner. In May, Mexican orange blossom Sundance bears clusters of starry, pure white flowers, also scented of orange blossom, and may repeat-flower in late August and September, though not as abundantly as the species; dead-heading in spring will encourage repeat-flowering. Holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Bee friendly.
