Ground Cover Comfrey
A creeping comfrey with creamy yellow to white flowers that appear in drooping clusters in mid-Spring to early Summer. This comfrey will spread in time, suppressing surrounding weed growth with its tightly packed cushion of hairy dark green leaves. Symphytum grandiflorum is a valuable early provider for bees and perfect for the wildlife garden. This plant can be very invasive in the wrong place but makes excellent groundcover in the right place.
