Grape Black Hamburgh
Also known as Schiava Grossa, Grape Black Hamburgh is a superbly flavoured dessert grape for a cold greenhouse – like all black grapes, it won’t succeed outdoors in our climate. The grapes are black with a lovely bloom, juicy and richly flavoured. The vine sets fruit well, ripens well in an unheated greenhouse, and crops reliably and heavily. Like all grape vines, it’s very vigorous, and needs careful pruning in December and thinning of the grapes for best quality fruit. Holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
