Japanese Anemone September Charm An elegant cottage garden beauty providing weeks of colour in late summer, Anemone x hybrida September Charm is a vigorous, clump-forming, herbaceous perennial. The deep green, tripartite leaves appear early in the year, and provide attractive cover for the dying leaves of bulbs like ornamental alliums. From July to September, slightly cupped, single, soft pink flowers with a rose-pink reverse and golden stamens rise on wiry stems above the leaves; they are attractive to bees. This is a wonderfully easy perennial, needing no attention apart from cutting back in autumn, but be aware that it can run at the root, so choose your site carefully.
