Shorter Stories, by Arthur Quiller-Couch
€30.00

Quay Books
Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch was born in Cornwall in 1863, and the county, its history, and its people had a marked influence on his life and writing.
Today he is chiefly remembered for The Oxford Book Of English Verse, but Arthur Quiller-Couch also wrote novels, poems and several collections of short stories. His father was a noted folklorist and historian and young Arthur grew up surrounded by literature and folklore.
This collection of 28 short stories, published under the pseudonym 'Q', appeared after his death in 1944. A few months before he died, he had selected the stories and arranged them as they appear in the book, under the three headings of ‘stories’, ‘fantasias’, and ‘drolls’.
Published by Dent, 1944.
