Mock Orange Belle Etoile A compact form of the mock orange, Philadelphus Belle Etoile is suitable for the smallest garden. It’s a medium-sized, deciduous shrub with an arching, bushy habit and small, oval, deep green leaves. In early summer the bush is almost smothered in large white flowers with a purple tinge at the throat and golden stamens, whose intoxicating scent, reminiscent of orange blossom, fills the garden. Tolerates sea air and urban pollution. An easy, low maintenance plant, mock orange Belle Etoile holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
