Oakleaf Hydrangea Snow Queen Perhaps the most beautiful of the oak-leaf hydrangeas, Hydrangea quercifolia Snow Queen is a medium-sized, mound-forming shrub, fairly compact. Lacecap flower-heads of single, ivory-white flowers are borne from mid-summer to autumn, turning pink as they age. The big, handsome, deeply lobed, rather leathery leaves are mid-green, turning purplish-bronze in autumn. Like all oakleaf hydrangeas, it flowers best in full sun, but the beautiful leaves grow larger in partial shade. Oakleaf hydrangea Snow Queen holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
