Alpine Mint Bush
A small, bushy Australian shrub, Prostanthera cuneata is a small, evergreen shrub which looks well with other Australian plants, such as smaller phormiums, or with plants with silvery leaves. The tiny, shining, deep green leaves are highly aromatic and clothe the bush densely. From June to August, and often for longer, pure white flowers with purple and yellow markings are borne in clusters. It often reaches only 1-2’ (30-60cm) and is then suitable for rock gardens. Alpine mint bush holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit, and is the hardiest of the Prostantheras, but will need winter protection in colder areas.
