Viburnum Charles Lamont
A star of the winter garden, flowering all winter long, Viburnum x bodnantense Charles Lamont is a medium-sized to large, fast-growing, deciduous shrub with a strongly upright habit. The oval leaves emerge bronze, turning deep green in summer. From November to spring, dense clusters of richly fragrant, pale pink flowers, large for a viburnum, are borne at the ends of deep purple shoots; a sprig in a small vase will scent a whole room. Viburnum Charles Lamont holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit. Plant it near a door or path, where the wonderful fragrance can best be appreciated.
