The leaves are green with bronze tints, colouring attractively in autumn. In May and June, and into July, domed trusses of creamy-white, pink flushed, funnel-shaped flowers with a yellow flash emerge from pink buds. Azalea Silver Slipper can be grown in soil-based ericaceous compost in a large container, using rain-water and ericaceous slow-release fertiliser.
