Apricot Early Moorpark A mid-season variety, Apricot Early Moorpark is an earlier-ripening form of the popular 18th century English variety Moorpark. It is well adapted to cooler climates, but more suited to the warmer parts of Ireland. The fruit is golden-yellow, paler than modern apricots but tender and with an excellent flavour, red-flushed when ripe. Very attractive, small tree. Best trained against a warm wall, as the flowers are at risk from early frosts. Prune as little as possible, and only in summer. Apricot Early Moorpark has the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
