This Bordeaux blend is a powerful wine that will reward ageing.  The wine is named for a former owner John Xavier Merriman, who played a great role in revitalising the area of Rustenberg.  100% aged for 20 Months in 35% New French Barriques Ageing Potential: 10 Years Tasting Note:The John X Merriman is a powerful wine that rewards aging. In its youth the wine is worth decanting and expresses cassis, black currant and dark fruits complemented with cigar tobacco and sour cherry notes.
