The Throw and Turn Workshop Description Join us for a weekend-long pottery class where you will be introduced to the techniques of throwing pots and making handles. 10.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday and 10.30am – 2.30pm on Sunday During this day-and-a-half long pottery class you'll work on a potters' wheel to shape clay, and try your hand at some throwing techniques, guided by our expert potters, with the aim of making a simple pot of your own by the end of the day. The next day you will learn how to shape, turn and attach a handle. In a small group we'll help you explore this ancient and meditative craft, and will guide you towards finding out which elements you enjoy most. This workshop runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday and 10.30am – 2.30pm on Sunday in our lovely Arran Street East studio in the heart of the Dublin Fruit and Vegetable Markets area. We'll provide all the materials you'll need. All you need to do is pick a date that suits you and look forward to getting started working with clay.  At the end of the day you will have two small pieces you made, that we will fire and glaze for you, and we will contact you when they are ready for collection - usually within 2 months after the class.  Or you can leave your pot with us to be fired, and you can book onto one of our our Glazing Workshops to learn how to glaze your pot yourself.   Want to give a Workshop as a gift?
