Auguste Rodin: Erotic Watercolors, edited by Anne-Marie Bonnet.

Quay Books
Rodin's sculptures seem worlds apart from these 107 delicate, quick, spontaneous erotic watercolours of female nudes, painted from the late 1890s up to his death in 1917.
Contemporaries such as Rilke and Paul Klee immediately recognized the revolutionary artistic quality of the drawings.
This book, a hardcover reprint of a 1995 classic, contains 105 watercolours and scissor cuts collected from museums and private collections from all over the world, including some "scandal" drawings from Weimar.
In her introduction, University of Leipzig art historian Bonnet observes that several of these watercolours created a scandal when first exhibited in a Weimar museum in 1906. - Publishers Weekly.
