In the preface, dated October 1938, Yeats wrote:"I will write whatever interests me at the moment, trying, however, to keep some kind of unity, and only including poem or play that has something to do with my main theme."
Contents include: Preliminaries, Tomorrow's Revolution, Private thoughts - should be skipped by politicians and journalists, Other matters, and Purgatory - a play.
The book is clean and attractive in the original blue wraps decorated with a front cover illustration by Jack B. Yeats. Clear and unmarked.46 pages. This is the second edition. It was preceded by an extremely limited first edition with only four copies known to exist, the rest destroyed by the poet's wife.
The Cuala Press was an Irish private press set up in 1908 by Elizabeth Yeats with support from her brother William Butler Yeats that played an important role in the Celtic Revival of the early 20th century.
