During this 4 week course, given by Brenda, you will learn all you need to know to start creating beautiful hand-crocheted blankets, throws, hats and scarves for yourself, or as gifts for others.  Date: Mondays January 23rd, 30th, February 6th and13th Time: 2 – 4.00pm Venue: The Crafty Rock Shop Week 1: Basic crochet techniques and stitches – chain, slip stitch, double crochet,  and treble. At the end of this class you should be able to crochet a simple head band/ear warmer Week 2: Further crochet techniques , stitches and reading a simple pattern and chart. At the end of this class you should be able to make a Granny Square Week 3: Circular crochet, increasing, and joining  techniques. At the end of this class you should be able to make a beanie hat. Week 4: Different edgings that can be used. Joining of pieces together. How to crochet a flower as an embellishment for your hat. Cost is €85 for 8 hours tuition within a small group of participants. It includes a hook and wool for practice and weekly handouts. Refreshments included.   Booking is essential either by prepaying for the course online or by paying a deposit of €30 in the shop and the balance on the commencement of the course. Please note deposits are non-refundable unless a replacement is found.  A minimum number of 3 participants is required for the course to proceed.
