Azalea Annabella A deciduous, Knap Hill/Exbury azalea for the larger garden, Rhododendron (AK) Annabella has a bushy, tall and wide, ground-covering habit. The leaves, which are bronze, turn rich shades in autumn. Trusses of up to 30, funnel-shaped, richly-scented, golden-yellow or orange flowers appear in spring. Good at the edge of a filtered/dappled-light, woodland planting. Needs thinning occasionally (removing whole branches back to the trunk) and removing dead, damaged or crossing branches. Water well in its first year, and any time the plant does not get 1” rain in the month..
