Two years in French and American oak casks has softened this lovely wine leaving it fragrantly aromatic and spicy with underlying rich fruit and a savoury palate with balance and elegance on the long and complex finish. Tasting Note: A wine that fully lives up to its lofty reputation, it's largely composed of Tempranillo with small additions of Graciano, Mazuelo and Garnacha which are the other main red varieties seen in Rioja. The two years it spends in a mix of French and American oak have softened it nicely making it a really delicious wine with wonderful vanilla and dark fruits on the nose, following through with rich fruit cake flavours on the palate.
