Bodegas Valdemar Balcón de Pilatos Maturana is an exclusive red wine from Spain's most famous wine region, Rioja made in very limited quantities. It is made from the Maturana Tinta grape, a near-extinct red variety that is not grown anywhere else in the world. Tasting Note : Matured in new American oak for 11 months this is a spectacular red wine with complex and intense spicy aromas, dominating the cocoa, vanilla, coconut and subtle notes of blackcurrant. The palate is smooth and silky and well structured, with a broad flavour profile and long lingering aftertaste.
