This unique & extremely rare & special Release of Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey Pinot Noir cask has just been released released. It is the 1st of many special expressions to come from The Shed Distillery of PJ Rigney. What makes it particularly unique is this Drumshanbo single pot still Irish Whiskey is Matured in casks that previously aged delectable Pinot Noir wine from the Burgundy region of France .  Every precious drop has been triple distilled in copper pot stills, at The Shed Distillery, Drumshanbo by Head Distiller, Brian Taft, and his dedicated team of distillers. Malted Irish barley, un-malted Irish barley, and uniquely Irish Barra oats make up the very special mash for this premier grand cru Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. This elegantly matured single pot still Irish whiskey is non-chill filtered & has had no colour added. Head Distiller, Brian Taft, wanted the authentic magic of this special release to really shine through Tasting notes: Nose: Rich notes of vanilla & toffee give way to discreet hints of summer apple and candied fruits. Palate: A mature flavour of banana and roasted caramel, with a flourish of French oak, balanced impeccably with a pronounced undertone of decadent pinot noir.  Finish: A full-bodied creaminess that descends with dried vanilla and fruit.
