LEARN TO BAKE SOURDOUGH IN SCHULL, WEST CORK We are really happy to introduce our day long sourdough baking class to Schull and hope you will enjoy it in this beautiful village environment which looks down towards the sea. This one-day hands-on workshop will teach you about the processes and techniques of making sourdough bread and focaccia and using sourdough in your baking. At the end of the workshop you will be able to take home what you have baked as well as the knowledge to continue your skills in your own time. If you would like to give this Workshop as a gift please look at our Gift Cards options here.   The class will include: - Learning about your starter  - Mixing and fermenting dough - Shaping different types of bread and focaccia - Baking and how to get the best results at home - Using sourdough in your baking - Tea, coffee and baked goodies All baking ingredients are provided and are as sustainably sourced as possible.    Where: Arran Street East Creative Hub, Main Street, Schull, West Cork Time: 11-4 pm, including time for lunch (lunch not provided)   FAQs Who is this course for? This workshop will suit both beginners and those who enjoy baking in a supportive and creative environment. Is there an age limit for the Workshop? This course is generally for people aged 18 and above.   What's the day like? You will be welcomed by your teacher and brought to an upstairs light-filled classroom (no lifts available). We supply all the baking ingredients you need, plus tea, coffee and baked goodies. What should I wear/bring? Please wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting messy.
