The Alocasia 'Regal Shields', also known as the Elephant's Ear plant gets its nickname from their gigantic elephant ear shaped leaves. This variety is a cross between an Alocasia Black Velvet and an Alocasia Odora. The deep green architectural leaves will certainly add drama to your home! Hailing from tropical regions of Africa, these plants love a humid environment and can grow quite quickly in the right conditions.  Care Instructions: The Alocasia 'Regal Shield' is a likes temperatures between 16-24 degrees and a high humidity. They prefer lots of bright indirect sunlight. Make sure you turn the Alocasia every week. Yellow spots at the end of her leaves indciate overwatering. Water your Regal Shield when the top 2-3 cm of the soil is dried out. They like consistent moisture however, they are prone to root if the compost is too soggy, but they hate to dry out completely.
