The "Pachypodium lamerei" is a striking houseplant hails from Madagascar and because it has leaves growing around the crown this combination gives rise to the common name of "Madagascar Palm". Despite its appearance, the "pachypodium" is actually a succulent. It gets its name from the Latin for "thick foot" and refers to the thick swollen stem which stores water and provides structure and strength to the plant. Care Instructions: Likes a bright sunny spot  Keep away from drafty areas and environments that experience sharp drops in temperature. Water regularly in the warmer summer months, decreasing water schedule in the winter. Avoid overwatering, only water once the top few inches of soil has become dry.
