Dwarf Sitka Spruce Tenas
A dwarf Sitka spruce cultivar with silvery needles, Picea sitchensis Tenas is a small, very slow-growing, conifer with a dense, rounded habit when young, becoming conical with age. The rather rigid needles are shiny, silvery-green. Sitka spruce Tenas is easy to grow, in a city or courtyard garden. Little or no pruning is needed. It is sometimes known as Picea sitchensis Midget, and can be grown in soil-based ericaceous compost in a large container.
