Narcissus Grand Soleil d’Or
A small-flowered tazetta narcissus variety for forcing indoors or planting in a warm sheltered bed in a very mild area, Narcissus Grand Soleil d’Or is a medium-sized, bulbous, borderline-hardy, perennial with an upright habit. The leaves are strap-shaped and mid-green. Multi-headed, scented flowers with yellow petals and brilliant orange cups are borne in March and April (as early as December if forced indoors). To force Narcissus Grand Soleil d’Or, plant in bulb-fibre, wearing gloves, and keep in the dark for eight weeks, before bringing into a shady room, gradually increasing the light.
