Daffodil Mando
A sturdy, early-flowering daffodil that will tolerate exposure, Narcissus Mando is a tall, bulbous perennial with an upright habit and strong stems, ideal for roadside verges and coastal planting. The leaves are strap-shaped and grey-green. Lightly-scented flowers with a golden-yellow corolla and a quite short, deeper yellow, frilled ‘trumpet’ are borne in April. Daffodil Mando can be naturalised in grass, under deciduous trees, or in a woodland planting, and is also good in containers. Take care to plant them where they face into the sun as you look, as otherwise they will turn towards the sun, like all narcissus/daffodils. Plant bulbs wearing gloves, as daffodil bulbs can be a skin-irritant.
